@ Yoga Landing in Chattanooga, TN
December 9-11th, 2022
In this weekend training, we'll explore how to practice and teach yoga in a way that is inclusive to all, adaptive to different degrees of ability and trauma informed.
As teachers of yoga we take seriously the opportunity to share the transformative teachings of yoga with others. We devote ourselves to practice and study, we train and we try our best to offer depth and meaning to our students. Yet, as we meet the students in our classes we come to understand just how multi-layered and complex they are physically, mentally and spiritually. Each student has such a unique set of needs, belief systems, history and desires. Once you are challenged by those students who make you recognize you need to learn more, the questions start to bubble up inside…
How do I offer a yoga practice that meets the needs of each student in all their complexity?
How do I teach yoga in a way that is socially responsible and trauma informed?
And the biggest…how do I avoid harming and isolating my students?
In this Accessible and Gentle Yoga training you’ll gain knowledge and practical solutions to be able to answer these questions and teach yoga to anyone with integrity. Whether you want to grow your skills as a teacher, develop your personal practice further or work with private clients, the comprehension you'll develop in this training will be invaluable.
