If you’ve ever rolled up your mat after practice and wondered how that peace, clarity, and body-connectedness could follow you into the rest of your life — this episode is for you. In this week’s conversation on The Nourished Woman Podcast, I’m sharing how yoga isn’t just movement or breath… it’s a way of being. You’ll hear how these practices can ripple into your relationships, your nervous system, your joy, and the way you show up in your everyday choices.
Highlights You’ll Love:
“Your yoga practice isn’t just a stretch or a breath — it’s devotional work. It funnels out into your children, your ancestors, the women who came before us, and the ones who will come after. This isn’t a three-dimensional thing you do on the mat. It’s a cosmic thing you weave into your life, in ways that fit your real world, your motherhood, your body, your truth.” - Keri Marino

We live in a world that worships more. More doing. More pushing. More proving. But what if the thing you need most right now isn’t more… it’s less? Sometimes the most aligned thing you can do is to let something go. To get a case of the “f*ck-it’s.” Not the reckless, throw-it-all-away kind… but the quiet, soul-protecting kind. Because here’s the truth: the version of you who already has the beautiful relationship, the sturdy sense of self, the ease, the clarity, the money, the purpose… she isn’t scattering her energy in a hundred directions. She’s deliberate. She chooses what gets her attention. So here’s a question: If you were her today, how would you move? How would you eat? What would your schedule look like? What would you stop doing? One of my clients came to me thinking yoga was just “one more thing” on her list. Instead, it became the thing that gave her more. More clarity. More permission to edit her life. More presence in her actual days. Kate Northrup says it best: “When you do less, you have more energy, time, and enthusiasm for the things that matter the most to you… You simply do less – but more of what matters.” This is what cyclical living is. This is the heartbeat of my work — the reason my podcast (launching later this month) exists. It’s why I created The Nourished Woman Sanctuary. Because you need support that meets you where you are, 2am meditation when you can't sleep or while sitting in the carline. What The Nourished Woman Sanctuary Can Really Give You
A way to feel grounded in your body again — instead of stuck in your head. Through breath, gentle movement, deep rest, meditation and nervous system rituals that shift your state with ease. A reliable, no-pressure yoga practice — that actually works with your energy. No more random videos. No performative flows. Just real support that meets you where you really are. The skills to show up in your life the most heart aligned way. Because your past experiences don't get to dictate your present reality. A way to move from chaos to calm — without bypassing the truth of how you feel. This space honors your shadows and your light. It doesn’t ask you to fake your way to freedom. A way to remember what it feels like to feel joy. To feel steady. To feel like yourself. For real. Not just on the mat — but in your daily life, your relationships, your decisions. And you might stop wondering if you're actually healing… because you’ll feel the return. In your sleep. In your breath. In your boundaries. In your body’s quiet yes. Last night, I felt it—the tension in my jaw and face. Like something was being held. Stress. Emotion. Something unspoken, unnamed… but fully alive in my body. As I moved through the evening—making dinner, tucking kids in, brushing little teeth, picking up toys—I didn’t dwell on it. But I knew. I knew my body was trying to get my attention. After the house got quiet, I slipped into my yoga room. Sometimes I move. But last night, I needed stillness. I lit a candle, sat with my harmonium, and began to chant. Almost instantly, the tears came. Not from thinking or trying. Just from making space. My body—my breath—finally had room to speak. And I listened. I didn’t try to figure it out. I didn’t force anything to move. I just let it flow. Warm tears down my cheeks. Steady music rising flowing from my harmonium. Images floating through my mind—not for analysis, just to be witnessed. This is the kind of healing that doesn’t need words. It just needs space. And this is exactly what we do inside Embody. If you’ve been holding things without even realizing it-- If your body has been whispering for you to slow down-- If you’re craving a sacred, supportive space to feel what’s ready to move-- This is your invitation. Embody: A 6-Week Somatic Yoga Therapy Series for Women ready to feel more anchored, emotionally resilient, and deeply present in their lives. While working with Keri, you'll feel embraced in warmth, calmness and a powerful intuitive approach that will help you find clarity in your life, heal through your body and soak in the love of her unequivocal mama energy. Based in Greenville, SC serving people in-person and online. I remember the chronic pain. The ache in my lower back that never really went away. The migraines that showed up like clockwork and stole whole days from me. The struggles with my mental health, my relationship with food, my self-worth—it was all tangled together in ways I didn’t yet understand. At the time, I found relief in short bursts. Chiropractic care, self-medicating. It helped… and the pain always came back. The deeper questions were never addressed. Back then, mental health support wasn’t even something my family had on their radar. We didn't talk about trauma, nervous systems, or healing from the inside. We coped. We pushed through. Then came the summer I disappeared. It was a season marked by a big surgery, prescribed pain pills, sleepless nights, and a growing sense of disconnection. My body was screaming, but I didn’t yet know how to listen. So I began seeking. And slowly, something shifted. First came chanting. Then meditation. Then physical yoga. Then a yoga class… and another. For the first time, I felt like I was participating in my own healing—not just managing symptoms. I could feel the energy that had been stagnant inside me begin to flow. I could feel the holding patterns in my nervous system start to unwind. I could feel the relief—not from a pill or an adjustment, but from my own breath, movement, and inner awareness. I was being healed in real time… by my body’s wisdom. Now, years later, this is what I teach and share with other women. We use energy medicine, the chakra system, somatic practices, and yogic philosophy to reconnect with the parts of ourselves we’ve ignored or shut down. This isn’t about fixing ourselves—it’s about coming home to what’s always been within. ✨ This month, I’m diving deeper into this work inside The Nourished Woman, my membership for women ready to reconnect with their bodies, their spirit, and their wholeness. We’re exploring the chakra system and energy medicine in a live workshop this Saturday, from 10–11am EST. You’re so welcome to join us—it’s $88/month with no commitment. You’ll get access to the on-demand library and the workshop replay, too. But even if you don’t join us, I want to leave you with this: Your healing is not outside of you. There’s a quiet wisdom inside you just waiting to be accessed. Warmly, Keri

Based in Greenville, SC serving people in-person and online. There’s a moment I’ve seen happen over and over again with the women I work with. They pause—sometimes with tears in their eyes, sometimes with a surprised laugh—and say something like: “I forgot this was possible.” They’re not talking about some big breakthrough. They’re talking about joy. About ease. About the feeling of being fully alive in their own bodies. After years of inner work, therapy, spiritual seeking, and just holding it all together—something gets lost or maybe you were never taught how to access it. Not because you’re doing it wrong, but because life asks so much of you. And somewhere in the doing and healing and striving… you forget how good it can feel to simply be. Not the performative kind of joy. Not the quick dopamine hit kind of pleasure. But the kind that lives in your belly and your hips. The kind that makes you laugh so hard you cry. The kind that soaks in like sunlight on your skin and reminds you that you’re still here. Still you. Still worthy of feeling good. This is what we're reclaiming in Glow. Glow is a 4-week journey into feminine joy and aliveness. It’s not a class. It’s not a checklist. It’s a return, a discovery an awakening.. To yourself. To your instincts. To your body’s wisdom. To the part of you that remembers what it’s like to feel soft and strong and turned on by life. Each week we’ll gather for live sessions that blend gentle somatic yoga, nervous system support, playful prompts, and soulful coaching. But what you’ll walk away with? That’s the real magic. ✨ A body that feels like home. ✨ A nervous system that feels steady and nourished. ✨ A relationship with joy that feels real—not elusive. ✨ A felt sense of pleasure that doesn’t need to be earned. Because the truth is: pleasure isn’t the icing—it’s part of the cake. It’s what brings you back to life. It’s what ripples outward into your parenting, your relationships, your presence in the world. You don’t have to keep pushing through. You don’t have to stay disconnected. You can let joy be part of your healing. You can glow. Early bird pricing is open now and the experience begins July 2nd. If your body is whispering yes—trust it. Let pleasure take up space. Let joy guide you home. You were made for this.

And now… your body’s tired, your mind’s still going, and your nervous system is asking for a soft place to land. This restorative bedtime yoga practice is your invitation to shift gears. To move out of “doing” and into deep rest. We’ll begin with slow, calming postures to release tension, followed by guided relaxation to help you fully exhale the day. By the end, you might feel more grounded, clear, and ready to slip into sleep with a sense of appreciation—for your body, your breath, and everything you held today. No experience needed. No pressure to do it “right.” Just come as you are, and let this be your reset. ✨ For more support like this, join me inside The Nourished Woman Membership—a home for women ready to reconnect to their body, their rhythm, and their joy one bite sized practice at a time. I used to think the goal was to never get triggered. To be so calm, so yogic, so grounded that nothing rattled me. And I was praised for it. “She’s so balanced.” “You’re always so peaceful.” “I wish I could be that zen.” But the truth? I wasn’t enlightened. I was disconnected. What looked like grace was often a chronic fawn or freeze response. I was hyper-aware of everyone else’s emotional state—but completely out of touch with my own. I silenced my needs. I softened myself to stay safe. And in doing so, I lost access to the full, fierce, sacred range of who I really am. Healing—real healing—changed that. Not by making me calmer. But by waking me back up. Through yoga, somatics, and, deep inner work, I began to feel again. To come alive in my body. To notice when I was shrinking and audaciously choose again. To trust myself more deeply than ever before. And with that came something unexpected: I started getting triggered more often. But instead of seeing that as a setback, I began to understand-- Triggers are invitations. 🔹 Sometimes they show us an old wound still in need of care, an opportunity to re-parent yourself. 🔹 Sometimes they reflect the weight of a season we’re in, the hard stuff. 🔹 And sometimes, they show up because we’re expanding—growing into a new version of ourselves our nervous system isn’t used to holding yet. Growth can feel like contraction before expansion. Healing can feel like discomfort before ease. But here’s what’s possible on the other side: ✨ You respond instead of react. ✨ You move through hard days without shutting down. ✨ You stop second-guessing yourself and start trusting your gut. ✨ You soften into your body instead of pushing past it. ✨ You feel strong enough to be present with your kids, your partner—and most importantly, *yourself.* That’s the kind of woman I work with. That’s the kind of woman I’ve become. And that’s what we’re nurturing together inside The Nourished Woman Membership. We’re diving deep into the nervous system, using breathwork, somatic practices, and a grounded approach to expansion. Not just so you can cope--but so you can thrive. So you can hold more joy, clarity, and calm without having to hold it all together. We don’t do this work to be perfect. We do it to be present. To feel the relief, of fully owning who you really are. To stop shrinking and start shining. If you’re ready to feel more at home in your body, more anchored in your life, and more connected to your inner fire—I’d love to welcome you in. No pressure. Just a warm invitation. The door is open. This space—born out of a deep desire to help women like you reconnect with your body, regulate your nervous system, and come home to yourself in an easy and accessible way—has grown SO much. Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or are just discovering my work, I want to say thank you. Thank you for showing up for yourself. For listening to the quiet whisper inside that says: there’s another way to feel. And for being part of a movement that’s redefining growth and healing, self-care, and helping women life more fully expressed. As we move into May—a month that often feels like a blur of busy schedules, transitions, and overwhelm—I want to slow us down. Together. That’s why this month inside the membership, we’re focusing on one of the simplest and most powerful tools we have: the breath. Why Breathwork Matters (Especially Now) Your breath is more than just a survival mechanism—it’s a doorway. A doorway into calm. Into presence. Into your body. When you learn to breathe better, you feel better. You regulate your nervous system. You shift out of fight-or-flight. You reduce emotional reactivity. You move from frazzled to focused, disconnected to grounded. Even one slow breath can send a signal of safety to your entire system. Sound like something you need? Check out this FREE 6 minute breathing practice to soak in the benefits right now. Over the past year, it’s evolved because of you. Your feedback. Your growth. Your presence. This month, we’re celebrating that with: ✨ A New Monthly Workshop Series – Members now get exclusive access to live workshops on topics like breathwork, sensuality, emotional resilience, yoga philosophy, and more. These are spaces to learn, reflect, and integrate—without pressure or perfection. 🎁 A Fun Giveaway to Celebrate YOU – Every time you complete a practice in May, you’ll be entered to win one of three gorgeous prizes (think: a spot in one of my retreats, a relaxation kit, and cozy restorative socks). The more you show up for yourself, the better your chances! Curious if The Nourished Woman Membership might be for you? Whether you're healing from the past, navigating motherhood, or simply trying to get through the day with more patience and presence—know this: You are not alone. You don’t need to hustle your way to peace. And you don’t need hours of practice to feel better. Just one breath. One practice. One moment of choosing yourself makes all the difference. Let this be a gentle invitation back into your body + soul. The Nourished Woman is here to support your nervous system, your emotional well-being, and your ability to show up as the woman you want to be - body, mind and spirit. ✨ Explore the membership here → The Nourished Woman Membership (it's only $88/month) You belong here. We all face those moments in life when everything feels out of control—when something happens that shakes us and pulls us into a reactive state. Whether it's a situation that causes anxiety, a fear response that tightens our chest, or the urge to fix something immediately to escape uncomfortable feelings, these moments can leave us feeling overwhelmed and disconnected from our center. But what if there was a way to prepare for these moments before they arise? A practice that helps us not only manage difficult emotions, but also transform them into opportunities for peace and growth? In my experience as a yoga therapist and somatic healer, I’ve learned that the tools we use in our formal practices—like yoga, breathwork, prayer, meditation, and nervous system regulation—don’t just offer us calm during peaceful moments on the mat. They are there to serve us when life pulls us into the more challenging, messy moments too. A Real-Life Example of How Our Practice Helps Us Respond Recently, I had a powerful reminder of how our practices support us, not just in quiet, peaceful settings, but in the moments that really stretch us. I was at a gymnastics free-play with my toddler, simply there to play with my kid. But my attention was pulled toward a child who appeared to be alone, without an adult present to supervise them. As a parent, I felt the rush of anxiety, fear, and discomfort—the kind that tightens your chest and leaves you feeling powerless. I wanted someone else to step in and take control, to relieve me of the discomfort of not knowing what might happen. I took action, alerting the responsible adult, but the discomfort didn’t leave me immediately. I still felt the unease, the anxiety, and the rush of adrenaline. That’s when I had to ask myself: Am I going to let this situation steal my peace? The Power of Yoga, Breathwork, and Somatic Practice in These Moments This is where our practices—yoga, breathwork, and somatic healing—come into play. They are more than just tools for relaxation. They are powerful practices that **reshape** our nervous system, allowing us to respond to life’s triggers with more clarity and calm. Each time we take a moment to slow down and breathe, we are building a sacred reservoir of peace and presence inside us. The more we practice these tools, the more we develop the ability to: ✨ Pause before we react. ✨ Stay present instead of getting caught up in fear or anxiety. ✨ Soften instead of spiraling into overwhelm. ✨ Trust that we can choose how we respond to challenging situations. Over time, yoga and somatic practices **rewire our nervous systems** to help us stay grounded in the present moment, even when life feels chaotic. How Consistent Practice Changes the Way We Live I want to remind you—if you’re ever wondering whether your practice is “working,” it is. Even in those moments when you feel overwhelmed, or when your nervous system is in a heightened state, your practice is working behind the scenes to help you stay calm, present, and trusting in your ability to navigate life’s challenges. When we approach these moments with a practice that has already shaped us, we choose peace instead of letting our emotions take control. If you feel like you’re in a season of life where you need extra support to deepen this work, I’m here for you. Whether it’s through 1:1 coaching, guided yoga and somatic healing sessions, or simply connecting with you over a conversation, I’m ready to offer support. Join Me at the Next Nourished & Whole Retreat If you’re feeling the pull to deepen your practice and reconnect to yourself, consider joining me for the next Nourished & Whole Retreat. In this retreat, we’ll explore yoga, breathwork, and somatic healing in a supportive environment to help you nurture your nervous system and fill your sacred reservoir. 🧘♀️ Nourished & Whole Retreat with Chef Tanner marino 📅 Sunday, March 23rd | 3-6pm at GIFT Counseling Center for Wellness Step away, find balance and feel renewed at our retreat. You know that moment when everything clicks—when you have the big realization, the spiritual breakthrough, the deep moment of clarity? It’s like the skies part, angels sing, and for a second, you see it all so clearly. I’ve had a lot of these moments over the years. And for a long time, I thought they were it—the turning point, the thing that would finally shift everything. But here’s what I’ve learned… breakthroughs don’t change us. Integration does. Because after every big moment of insight, life keeps moving. Patterns resurface. And if we don’t do the deeper work—if we don’t let our bodies catch up to what our minds now understand—we end up circling the same struggles. Healing Isn’t Just a Mindset Shift I’ve seen this in my own life, especially in my relationship with trust. Trusting myself. Trusting money. Trusting support. Trusting that life (and God, and the universe) actually has me. And whew, that’s been some real work. Even after all the healing, the growth, the somatic work, I’ve still found parts of me holding on, gripping, bracing against life—waiting for proof that I’m safe. That I’m loved. That everything is okay. And that’s where the real transformation happens: in the nervous system, in the body, in the space where those old patterns live. Because the truth is, most of us don’t struggle because we don’t know what to do. We struggle because our bodies haven’t caught up to our wisdom. The Missing Piece: Nervous System Repatterning We can have all the awareness in the world, but if our nervous system is still wired for survival—if it’s still stuck in old patterns of fawning, freezing, or gripping tightly to control—no amount of mindset work will move us forward. For me, this has looked like… ✨ Doing the deep nervous system work to unhook from old scarcity patterns. ✨ Letting go of the need to constantly prove my worth. ✨ Learning how to soften, to trust, to receive without bracing. And let me tell you—it’s not always pretty. Healing isn’t just one big aha moment and suddenly you’re free. It’s a process of rewiring—one breath, one choice, one somatic shift at a time. So How Do You Actually Grow Into The Next Version of You? 1️⃣ You slow down enough to listen. Your body is always giving you signals. The gripping, the tension, the anxious buzzing and the disconnect from your body? That’s unprocessed survival energy. 2️⃣ You stop just thinking your way through it. Insight is beautiful, but transformation happens when you feel the shift in your body and when you learn to embody it fully. 3️⃣ You repattern your nervous system so that safety, trust, and ease become your new normal. That’s the key. That’s how you actually grow into the new version of you. Because you don’t need another breakthrough—you need the path to embody it. And that’s exactly what I want to share with you. If you know you’re ready to go deeper—to break free from old patterns, rewire your nervous system, and step into the next level of your healing and growth—I’d love to support you 1:1. This is the work I do with my private clients: helping you integrate the big breakthroughs, rewire the deeper patterns, and step into a life that feels more free, aligned, and effortless. If you’re feeling the nudge, let’s talk. You can explore my 1:1 Coaching and Yoga Therapy here. One breath, one shift at a time. 💫 Want to learn more about getting 1:1 support from me?
